Yes, it's that good.
It's incredible and gluten free, and honestly you don't see those three worlds together too often
I baked this cake before Hendricks was born and took it to the hospital to celebrate his birth with it. ALSO if that wasn't a big enough point this was the only thing I wanted as our wedding cake. So I was whipping it up in my sisters' kitchen the day before our wedding. I guess you could say it's next level love.
4 oz semi sweet chocolate (we use BAKERS chocolate)
1/2 C butter or margarine
use a double boiler or microwave and melt together, (don't overheat)
3/4 C white sugar
1/2 C cocoa powder
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix it all together, based on observation I know that the order doesn't matter 😜
generously grease a round 9" pan and tap cocoa powder around edges, just to stick to the butter/ margarine, dump excess.
Bake at 350 degrees until fully baked about 20 mins or edges pull away and center doesn't jiggle.
I line the bottom with parchment- a little trick to make a circle parchment is tare a piece the width of the pan and folder it in half, and again and again until it looks like a teeny piece of pie. Cut it at the length of the smallest fold. Unfold and you have a perfect little circle! Pictures below
